Winter skin, sorted

Skin that feels like it's cracking?

Wind, cold and central heating pull water out faster than your skin can hold it. Two mists put it back and help your barrier keep it.

Why skin cracks in winter

Wind
Strips the thin layer of moisture from the surface of your skin
Cold
Slows the oils your skin makes to protect itself
Heating
Dries the air indoors, so water leaves your skin all day
Barrier
Once it weakens, water escapes faster and skin feels rough and tight

Your problem, solved

Every part of the routine answers one thing your skin is going through.

  1. The problem

    Tight and dry by lunchtime

Your morning moisturiser has worn off and your skin feels like it has shrunk.

    The solution

    Instant hydration with Bloom

Tremella mushroom binds water into the skin in seconds. Mist it over make-up whenever you need it.

  2. The problem

    Rough, flaky patches

A weak barrier lets water escape, so the surface dries out and roughens.

    The solution

    Barrier support every day

Red algae extract supports the lipids that hold your barrier together, so skin keeps its moisture for longer.

  3. The problem

Wind and cold make it worse

Every walk outside or school run leaves your skin feeling raw.

    The solution

Made from plants that live in the wind

Our bioactives come from Cornish coastal life that survives salt, wind and cold. MossCellTec No. 1 is clinically studied to support skin resilience.

  4. The problem

    Worse by morning

Central heating dries your skin out while you sleep.

    The solution

    Overnight restore with Shade

Willow bark and seaweeds calm and rebalance skin overnight, so you wake up softer.

  5. The problem

    Rich creams feel heavy

Thick balms feel greasy, so you skip them and your skin never gets a run of good days.

    The solution

    Ten seconds, twice a day

A fine mist that sinks straight in. Easy enough to do every day, which is what dry skin needs.

Hugo, Sophie and Freddie on the Cornish coast

Founded in Falmouth

Science, scent and art from the Cornish coast

Mor & Meadow was founded in Falmouth in May 2026 by Hugo, Sophie and Freddie, with a wider collective of growers, artists and botanists behind them.

Hugo is a botanical scientist and Chelsea Flower Show winner. Sophie is an acclaimed Cornish artist and designer. Freddie's background is fragrance, most recently as Managing Director of Czech & Speake London.

Together they study how Cornwall's plants, fungi and seaweeds survive salt, wind and shifting tides, and bottle those adaptations as simple, multifunctional mists.

Questions & answers

Will it heal cracked skin?

No skincare product can promise that. Bloom and Shade hydrate your skin and support its barrier, which helps with dryness, tightness and rough texture. If your skin is split, bleeding, painful or not getting better, speak to a pharmacist or your GP.

Do I still need a moisturiser?

Yes, if you already use one. Mist first, then apply your moisturiser on top to seal the water in. Many people find they need less of it.

How soon will my skin feel different?

Skin feels hydrated straight after misting. Barrier support builds with use, so give it a few weeks of mornings and evenings.

How do I use a face mist?

Hold the bottle a hand's width from your face, close your eyes and mist two or three times onto clean skin. Use Bloom in the morning and Shade in the evening, on its own or before your moisturiser.

What is the difference between Bloom and Shade?

Bloom is the morning mist: it hydrates, brightens and strengthens the skin barrier for the day ahead. Shade is the evening mist: it calms, balances and restores while you sleep.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. Both mists are cold-processed, vegan and cruelty-free, and built around low-irritation actives. If your skin is very reactive, patch test on the inside of your wrist first. The full ingredient list is on each product page.

How long does a 100ml bottle last?

Used twice a day, a 100ml mist lasts 8 to 12 weeks.

Where is it made?

Mor & Meadow is designed and formulated in Cornwall, and orders ship from Cornwall.
